Meet Filmdrome
As a supporter and promoter of cinema education, Filmdrome offers singular and unique learning opportunities and initiatives for the community of Sioux Falls, such as: the presentation of art, children, foreign and independent films; the exploration of cinema ideas, theories and philosophies, and the introduction of special guests, directors, films and speakers.
Filmdrome was established by Peter Van Eerden, a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist at Sanford Health, alongside Hugo Sarmiento, a haute couture designer. Bobby George, a collaborator in Montessorium and June George, the founder of The Baan Dek Montessori, are also co-founders. The name Filmdrome originates out of a love for the cinema and a desire to share the forces and pleasures of film.
